medium depth red robe; there’s a pleasant breeze in the red fruit aroma, which comes with garrigue, briary notions, hints of oak caramel. There is a refined tune of red fruit along the palate, with nice clear flanks, an articulate expression about it, peppery touches late on, tingle, pure juice on the close. This is naked in style, a Burgundian take on matters. A little late glow reveals the South, right at the end. This is interesting, and very good for a Merlot from the Rhône. “It’s a year of freshness, acidity and degree, nearly 14°”, Sylvain Bock. The last year of 9 months’ raising. 13.5°. 2027-28 May 2019
