Please note that from 1 January 2025 I am reducing the time spent on drinkrhone.com. After covering more than 50 vintages, it is the moment to ease back, and to turn my attention away from the constant day to day demands and towards more medium term projects of book writing.

My aim is to update The Wines of the Northern Rhône, and perhaps get together a Wines of the Southern Rhône, as well as memoirs.

drinkrhone remains a vast library of thousands of domaines up and down the Valley, with an incredible level of detail attached to each one, a resource that cannot be found anywhere else. Anyone wishing to check the full origins of even a single wine will still be completely catered for.

There will still be visits to the eminent domaines and Châteaux, and unusual or start-up domaines, but the flow of information will be less than it has been.
