steady red robe. This has an interesting, quite revved up, smoky bouquet, on pepper-peony flowers, white pepper, crushed red fruits, cherry and raspberry to the fore. The palate carries some darkness in its delivery, a tight grip with some size in the tannins. This has the most mystery, complexity of the range, is solid within, close-knit. Red fruits are central, with only a gradual release of them. It ends with some minor lip-smack qualities. 13°. 2026-27 May 2019
