regular red robe; there is a slight resin side to the nose, sweet raspberry, lamb stock, some earthy, fundamental notions. The palate gives a definite stream of red fruits with some “high” in them, a touch of reduction. Raspberry fruit comes with a late buzz, and it ends well, with energy there. It’s a bit hidden, but interesting, holds the 2015 intensity within the palate. Note the finish - a good sign for the future; this has structure, and is Value at €9. “It was a very solar vintage, which is why we’ve released it only recently,” Christophe Comte. 13°. 4,800 b. 2025-26 May 2019
