very flinty, pale yellow colour; the bouquet is a neat combination of citrus freshness and a pear, flan couch, is fine tuned. The palate drinks with similar outer zest, has verve and good, fresh length, carries a rather savoury, textured content, the aftertaste quietly firm. It leaves a good spearmint trail behind it. There are busy white fruits present, and the clarity to allow it accompany seafood, as recommended. It’s an upbeat Côtes. 13.5°. Clairette, Gren bl. 2025-26 Dec 2020

yellow robe. Peach, flowers, apricot airs show and are generous. A note of mango and the aniseed I associate with the Clairette are also present. This has a supple, wired gras richness, gives lemon, nutty moments, has good and tight grip. There is a saltiness and a fine click from its limestone. 13.5°. 100% Clairette blanche. 2022-23  Dec 2015

markedly pale robe. A shiny bouquet offers pungent white fruit, a savoury lemon-vanilla middle and main stretch, with nutty airs. The palate is more restrained, holds fine white fruiting with discreet acidity that helps it to continue surely along the palate. The end is good and clear, the aftertaste spiced. Has good gras richness that is very well inset. This can develop and age, has an interesting pedigree (tasted blind). When I see its ID, it represents another triumph for the Clairette in 2012. 13.5°. €2.75 ex cellars, FAB VALUE. 2019-20  GB: Coe Vintners;USA: Jerome Selection NY  Oct 2013

pale, flinty colour; has a bonny roll of apricot, white jam on the nose, along with lime and pear: a good fruit mix here. The palate has a hazelnut, almond flavour on the attack; that nutty taste persists, with the entry of light quince jam, spice, white raisin, a tang of agreeable bitter within. The finish is compact. This is really sound quality. It can serve for the aperitif, but can also evolve. 13.5°. €3.15 export. To 2017  Oct 2012
