LVT 2012 r The Gadagne red reflects its warm, stony, sun-drenched lands - it is robust
LVT 2014 r An eight hectare domaine producing correct, traditionally styled, robust Gadagne red
LVT 2011 r Organic production
LVT 2012 r Typicity from its galet stone covered soils in the 2012 Gadagne Select red. An organic 17 hectare vineyard.
LVT 2019 r 2019 wh Apart from being the leader at Gadagne Villages, also make a respectable Vacqueyras from 4.5 hectares, and, since 2013, a punchy Châteauneuf-du-Pape red from 0.4 hectare, the 2018 a **** wine. The Gadagne galet stone covered soils give robust wines, and the Anglès do not shirk the issue in their Côtes du Rhône reds, which are charged, and require time. The 2015 Côtes du Rhône Les Vents red was a serious **** wine, with character, while the incredibly named Gadagne Cuvée du Comte d’Ust et du Saint Empire red was an authentic STGT**** wine in 2015, a real child of the garrigue, even though it's 85% 1960s Syrah, while the 2016 was great, a ****(*) wine, full of the silk of old vines. A 100% Mourvèdre Côtes du Rhône called En Livrée has been introduced, the 2019 a well endowed, serious, structured **** wine that will evolve over 10+ years. The Côtes du Rhône white, called Madame d'Ust, is 100% 1993 Viognier from poor galet stone covered soils which suit it, and its 90% steel vat handling avoids excess weight and droop; the **** 2019 held a natural abundance with pockets of freshness, and lent itself well to la table
LVT 2015 wh 2012 r This is the old Domaine Deforge, set in most beautiful surroundings on a stony, full garrigue plateau. It is a 25 hectare vineyard that was set up by Jean and Mireille Deforge, Jean having been France’s Cravache d’Or, champion jockey on the flat, on several occasions, as well as winning Classic races in England. The soils are full galet stone covered, a real sun trap. Under the Janers, there are holiday homes as well, and the vineyard is organic. There has been considerable investment, and there is now a holiday home for rental. The 2015 Villages white L'Esprit du Clos (Roussanne-Viognier) was a poised ***(*) wine of good style
