attractive dark red; the bouquet is expressive, rocks with black cherry, bubbly blackberry fruit with an appealing density to it, a sweet curve that pleases. It’s a go-go start. The palate picks up the theme, is free drinking, w.o.w. wine with blackberry-mulberry fruits and a similar level of sweetness as the bouquet, all very inviting. This is great now, on the up, ideal for barbecues and grills, pastas. There is a small knot of late tannin that supports the slightly tarry finale with some hints of garrigue herbs on the aftertaste. bright, quite dark red; there’s immediate spicing on the nose, backed by raspberry fruit, notes of dried herbs, a touch of reduction, so air will help it. The palate gives medium weight, rolling red berry fruit with a fresh tenor attached. It’s commercial but easy to appreciate. It doesn’t have the conviction of the last two vintages, quite the same body. 13.5°. 2022 Oct 2019

steady red robe; the nose expresses soft strawberry fruit, jam-like in style, has a little backdrop of herbs, hay. The palate drinks well, is nice and immediate on a tasty run of red berry fruits with supple tannins in tow. This is good wine for grilled foods, right there, has the body to go with risottos, stews, as well. The fruit is free and will entertain. It’s a good bet for a convivial occasion. 14°. quite a full red robe. This has a lightly spiced red berry, strawberry and raspberry fruit aroma, a peony-floral note above it. It’s an attractive start. This is soft and juicy, gives a typical 2016 plumpness and rounded shape. It drinks freely, its tannins ripe and well inset. The Grenache gives it its supple texture well. There are pockets of spice late on. This is neat, on the go Ventoux that keeps going on its plum fruit. 13.5°. 48% Gren, 47% Syr, 5% Cins. To 2020 Sept 2017

red robe. Has a pepper, plum and raspberry coulis aroma which is traditional and genuine, has local colour. This is spiced, grippy on the palate, holds compressed juice with tannins that push through. It demands drinking with food via its tight, slightly dry composition. It gives a picture of small grapes with the essence squeezed out of them to make the wine. Drink with stews, sauced dishes. Day 2: soft red fruits, and it now drinks more easily. 13.5°. 33,300 b. From 2017 – time for it to loosen a touch. To 2020  July 2016
