2009 ()

good, comfortable yellow; attractive nose that is ample, rates above its label category, shows oak traces. It is full, salted, comes with white fruits such as apricot and peach. The palate is gracious – the oak circulates, but is mobile, good. Best with food – it is robust at heart, but finely layered. Some heat on the finish. A truffle omelette with this would be a treat. 14°. To 2014. Oct 2010

2007 ()

pale, flinty colour; has a pear-bonbon sweets aroma – the underlay is charged (14.5° on the label). There is also charge in the texture and being of the wine on the palate, concluding with some punch and kick – this means “sip”, not drink. Vin de pays should be quaffable, easy access wine – this isn`t. Diffiuclt to drink much of this, even though I am thirsty and seated here in Le Mangevin. To 2011. June 2008


ripe pear bouquet, light nut presence. Pretty richness, apricot and spice flavour, plenty of it. Also restrained, this has charm. July 2005
