bright, dark red. There’s a very direct funnel of black fruit, mulberry, a soft floral note and licorice on the nose. The palate is crisp, willing, carries good style in the fruit, holds powdered tannins with good length, carry. The finale is round, with hints of roses on the aftertaste. I like the iron, blood on its second half. It’s authentic, well made northern sector St Jo red. Bottled today. 2029-31 Dec 2019
