Grenache, Syrah from quartz galet stone covered red clay soils above a couch of sand, destemmed, 3-4 week concrete vat vinification at 25°C, daily pumping overs, concrete vat raised 6 months, "drink with duck breast, rack of lamb"
solid dark red colour. The nose is still making its way, has spiced black fruits, pebbly airs, prune, obvious ripenewss, weight, some reduction in there. The palate has a bendy start, comes with swish dark berry fruit matter that is supple, wavy, with crunch and grain from the tannins. I note the 15° within the palate and on the nose. It needs time to flow and present a milder finish, so leave until mid-2019. The aftertaste is granular for now, and it lacks a bit of spark. 15°. 2027-29 Aug 2018
