Grenache, Syrah, destemmed, crushed crop, 15 day vinification, pumping overs only, vat raised 12 months, unfiltered

bright, pretty, quite dark robe. Macerated red fruits aroma, a little liqueur in it, but not overdone – this is agreeable, rolls along well, a good ensemble. Smoky, harmonious red fruits that are well-founded on the palate – the texture is smooth, and it moves towards a little dash of tannin and mint. A bonny, easy to like, w.o.w. wine. Authentic, good sequence through the palate. 14°. 2012-13 Feb 2009

paling red, naturally. Gamey, broody front nose, a nutty second air; lithe red fruit suggests it will amplify as it breathes and warms, shows dark plum fruit. The palate offers spiced, tangy fruit  and its texture is cool, nicely fresh. Fine tannin runs through it. The aftertaste is a shade dry, but this is grand with grilled foods, for instance. A fine tune, scented Grenache wine that is faithful to its place. 13.5°. To 2013  April 2010 Previously Oct 2005 *** maturing red robe; softly spiced, red jam fruit aroma that is mid way between youth and its second stage. There is a peppery top air, with drifts of rose and flowers. The palate is led by a spiced plum, baked feel, the texture dry-toned, and tannins that are in their second stage wrapped into it. It is in a dumb, transitional phase now, encouraged by the rain and low pressure of the day outside – it is stormy, wretched evening to drink wine today. 2010-11  19 Oct 2005, East Sussex
