deep red colour. The bouquet serves a rounded, slightly blobby air of blackberry, which doesn’t have much detail or variety. The palate also reflects weightiness, has a layered sweet black fruit presence. It’s a big wine with sweet overtures, but lacks freshness and lift to make it easier to drink. It’s unbalanced by its degree. Sip this with some beef. The length is OK, in that dense vein. 15°. 30,000 b. €3.45 export. 2018-19  June 2016

nicely full, cherry red colour. Has a sweet-natured bouquet – jam fruit that comes with a friendly, accessible air. Is already OK – black cherries zap out of the glass. The palate also holds pretty fruit – black cherries again – with a supple interior. This finishes on some licorice, as if there is dark-fruited Syrah present. Well handled wine, with a helpful touch of acidity on a black fruit finale. It delivers easy pleasure, and is a light and bright wine suited to solo drinking. w.o.w. status. After 1 hour it slips a little, so open and drink. 14° Aug 2008
