red robe; the bouquet has a bright, forward blackcurrant fruit air, a sweet curve to it. This has a naked, streamlined style, holds red fruit, with a low-key sweetness, a floral lean. It drinks on clarity over depth. The tannins are a bit dry on the end. 13.5°. 2022-23 Feb 2019

2011 ()

(bottling tomorrow) shiny red, purple traces. There is a round, sweet arc in the black fruit, berry aroma – it comes with a sprinkle of herbs. The palate eases along with a precise step, aided by tight, fine acidity. Its clear fruit gains tannin and rather savoury cut on the finish. Very clean, very agreeable, a get up and go wine, w.o.w. 2007 ()

pretty, full dark red colour with some black. There is a charming roundness in a smoothly aromatic black fruit nose led by cassis or blackcurrant. The seal or texture on this is compact, and there is an even, level black fruit that is Syrah influenced. It finishes on some tight tannin and licorice. bright, dark red robe; has a clearly defined bouquet – but its fruit is a bit low profile now. A mix of red and black berries lead the palate – it is clean and quite shapely. The tannins in the last quarter of the palate taste of licorice and add “darkness” to the wine. Is a touch dry overall (but has been open 2+ days). Nov 2006
