2012 ()

pink, onion peel mix in the robe. Rose-hip, fine aroma that bears light and easy redcurrant, has charm. The palate starts on a modest quince flavouring. The taste is neutral, and it ends on a light candy. Low-key, functional Tavel that lacks spark. To 2015  May 2013

2007 No Rating

pale pink; active, bonbon air with a rather chemical, maybe SO2, air. There is also bonbon on the palate, but also SO2, and this is brief, a wine that fails to please. Lacks length. Bottle 2: very pale pink; another candy, bonbon aroma, no great depth or real inset of fruit. Sharp on the palate, biting and gasping on the finish. June 2008

2006 ()

pink, with a wee orange tint in the robe; floral aroma across the bouquet – a classic Cinsault style, and there is a sprinkle of spice inside the red fruits. Tender, softly fruited, no pretensions wine. Persists lightly. If not expensive, would be good value for its subtle appeal. Absolutely right for the aperitif. Isn’t very long, but is clear and pretty. WOW wine (what one wants). Drink outdoors, or if with food, pea soup, salads. June 2007
