2016 ()

(vat/casks) deep robe, mainly black in hue. The bouquet is inky, grilled, has a deeply-rooted beef stock heart, with a thick extract of black fruits within, black olives also. The palate is more open and expressive than the nose at this early stage; it glides along with smooth content and well-fitting tannins that add an extra tendril to the late stages. There is a most munchable quality to the matter, and this will really fill your glass. It’s long, with no chinks for now. Leave until 2020-21. 6,500 b. 2035-38 Oct 2017

2015

(vat/casks) red robe. There is an oily inset of soaked cherries [griottes], a juvenile glisten to the bouquet, red fruit jelly. The palate attacks on thick juice, holds tightly packed content with butty tannins sealed into its main frame. It lengthens surely, with pockets of fluid fruit, some well-handled vigour. This is genuine, well made Châteauneuf with refined juice. From mid-2018. 2031-33 Nov 2016 GB £310 12 b in bond H2Vin www.h2vin.co.uk info@h2vin.co.uk +44(0)203 478 7376

2014 ()

(casks) dark robe, red with black tints. The nose is profound, clear – black fruits with chicken stock, a good blackberry intensity. The palate swings along with a juicy, free expression, a real good thrust as it ends. Marks for vigour and enjoyment here. There is a rolling, smooth run of black berry fruit and the tannins enhance the lift on the long finish. This captures the imagination. From 2018. 2030-32 £268 12 b in bond H2Vin GB www.h2vin.co.uk Oct 2015
