The Wines

100% Marsanne (1980) from Toulaud, a plot above the house, harvested at 11°-11.5°, steel vat fermented at 17°-18°C, bottled after 6-9 years on lees, non-vintage, 5 gm of residual sugar, was Saint-Péray until the appellation zone error was discovered

NV (all 2008) ()

this was bottled in 2009, and disgorged after nine years. The robe is yellow-tinted. Nut paste, almond aroma, with white plum, light honey notes – an interesting bouquet here. The palate has a live mousse, depth in its content; it’s a grounded St-Péray, with Marsanne character well discernible. The flavour rides on dried fruits, lasts well, the end clear, the grip on the finish good. Dec 2018

NV ()

yellow robe; has a broad, open nose with apricot at its centre, a good foundation. The depth here is well established, carries pear-candy-nougat flavours, is stylish and nicely full. The finish on honeycomb and vanilla is true. This will drink well with dishes such as white meats, fish. 13°. €12.50.  Dec 2015
