60% Gamay (early 1990s), 40% Syrah (early 2000s) from granite influenced soils at Sécheras, Syrah 80% destemmed, 2 week vinification, lot of pumping overs, ending on 1-2 cap punchings a day, Gamay vinified by macération carbonique with no added SO2, Gamay vat raised 7 months, Syrah raised 4-5 year 228-litre oak casks 7 months, varieties assembled at bottling, unfined, filtered, the 2019 100% Syrah, 2,000 b

quite a dark red; crushed red fruits, raspberry airs, a nose with macération carbonique styling, also the palate with a fruit gums, gummy feel to it. It carries mild red fruits, but ends rather dry, is standard style wine, limited. Serve it cool. The Gamay was 16° - too ripe. 14°. Bottled April 2019. To 2022 Feb 2020
