(vat) quite a dark red; prune, cooked fig, jam air here, its sweetness striking an agreeable chord. This is a big scale, layered and rounded nose. The palate sequels well from the nose, so gives more fluid, liqueur style dark red fruit, polished tannins on the outer and drive on the inner side. There is a charge of eucalyptus, menthol and glow on the finish. Abundant, genuine wine, with local, STGT imprint. Promising, drink from 2015. 14.5°. 40,000 b, €4.10 ex-cellars. 2019-20  Oct 2013

2011

(vat) shiny red; the red fruit aroma is deep on the nose, which gives an air of winning bounty, has a fleshy side to the fruit and is laced withy airs of tea and spice. The palate presents orderly red fruit which persists and is enjoyable on the finish, with mild tannins woven inside it. The texture is supple. Nice, varied length. From spring 2013. To 2018 Sept 2012

bright Grenache red colour. There is a primrose flower tenderness in the nose’s red plum fruit aroma – this is a skilful, restrained starts, shows the balance of the vintage, is broad and very noticeable. The palate is notable for smooth bur secure tannins lending support to its well-oiled red fruits. The result is harmony in what is a Big Wine. Late on a Mourvèdre thrust comes through, carrying extra power and charge in its tannin. Accomplished Plan de Dieu. The aftertaste is a little yeasty. Obviously southern wine, but well made. 14.5°. 2020-21  Sept 2012

fairly full red; the bouquet reflects red fruit with a little sweet herb topping – it is a touch basic. It ends with some tang of licorice, as if Mourvèdre present. There is direct fruit no the palate, with kick and drive in it. Ends on a strawberry tart note, is agreeably full and also pretty authentic. Ripe crop has been used for this, ahead of it being fresh – but then this is the Plan de Dieu, the hotlands. To 2012. Aug 2008

raspberry air, nicely scented bouquet – attractive start. Elegantly fruited start to the palate, its red fruits persist, shows some tannin at the end, where its displays punch and heat. Vigorous wine, without oppressing. Persists OK. To 2103. Sept 2005
