49% Grenache, 36% Shiraz, 15% Mourvèdre, in 2-10 feet of white sand, then loamy clay soils, hand harvested, 4 day pre-fermentation crop cooling, wild yeasts, 2-3 week vinification at up to 30-32°C, hand cap punching, rack and return, aged 25% each 1-2-3 year oak casks, 25% 4-12 year 225-litre oak casks 18 months, some lees stirring, filtered, 13,200 b


full red plum robe; oily, red fruits aroma, a touch of alcohol spirit but is not jagged, and a few heathland aromas, heather airs in it as well. Elegantly rounded palate with clear definition, cherry fruit length, tight siding. The tannins are wrapped into it, deliver an interesting line through it. Drinks fine, in a primary state, now. Juicy, rather persistent finish. Can have a second stage around 2011 o. 14.5°. 2017-18 Oct 2009
