2014 ()

(bottling June 2016) dark red robe; the nose is centred on Grenache, and goes nicely deep – it has plum, gentle floral airs, a note of black olives, fine raspberry. The palate sets off an on a fluid trail, holds sudden gras, backed by fine powder tannins. It is full of running on its crisp, salted finish. This has good style and truth, is an unforced Châteaenuef. The tannins have a savoury aspect, and fit in well. The aftertaste is perfumed, with violets. From spring 2018. 14.5°. “I added a permitted 10% of 2015, since the wine lacked glycerol,” Rodolphe de Pins. 2026-28 Feb 2016
