pale yellow; the bouquet is soft, with pear and gentle tones, Viognier apparent, vanilla, grapiness, white plum touches, a note of tangerine: it’s a joli bouquet with a lot of charm. The palate comes with a supple texture, all en roundeur, has a low acidity feel, is fat, gathers a little tangy grip, smokiness on the finish. The palate is fine, has just enough depth for cod, plaice, for example, not so much white meats. The flavour circles around peach, peach stone, flowers. It ends quietly, softens with air there. 14°. yellow glints from its oak; pineapple in a severely oaked bouquet – a formulaic start. This is like a Spanish oak-fest white wine on the palate – its interior is quite fine, so the oaking is a pity. When will this actually taste of wine? Grande question, Sherlock.  June 2007
