The Wines

70-80% Grenache, 20-30% Syrah from galet stone and crumbled limestone or lauze soils, purchased wine, 3-4 week concrete vat vinification, daily pumping overs, concrete vat raised 12 months

(concrete vat) dark red robe. Has an interesting, floral-laced nose, red berry airs, a winsome raspberry with a mild and inviting sweetness, rosemary and soft herbs. Raspberry and cooked plum are here – a good Grenache presence.  The palate gives an elegant, nicely juiced debut, with squeezy content and mild tannins. This strikes an appealing note, even if the late stages are still crunched together. They will spread out more in nine months. Its main card is the elegance of the fruit, and the charm of the nose. There are drops of gummy content and licorice on the close. To 2021 Dec 2016

medium depth red; reduction hovers over the bouquet, so decant this. It has a mild red berry fruit air, a note of garrigue and earthiness to back it up. This has a simple, evolving red berry fruit flavour, a taste of smoky, raspberry fruit pastille, with a gain in matter towards the finish, where it ends comfortably set. Drink it now. Straightforward, but lacks brio. 2015-16  June 2013
