2016

pear-tinted yellow robe. Cooked lemon, roasted nuts, liquid honey airs show with an infused tea, camomile angle on the nose, which has style, portrays the Marsanne purely. The palate sequels well from the nose, comes with a delicate white fruits flavour, a thread of saltiness after half way. Citrus and orange peel feature in the flavour, and there’s a bouncy freshness. This is high quality, en finesse Crozes blanc, for refined flavours, steamed dishes. It is delightful, a real winner, very well orchestrated. 13.5°. 2022-23 April 2018 Previously Feb 2018 **** pale yellow. Has a refined, nicely clear bouquet, peach and guava fruit with delicacy, a low-key citrus note below. This is a stylish, notably fine Crozes blanc, runs with nicely fluid content, and gathers a little nugget of grip, ginger tang, on the finish, with a soft creaminess there as well. This is coolly fruited, and offers tender, engaging drinking. It has a little more weight than an aperitif wine, so drink with steamed fish, mussels, scallops. It’s tasty in mid-palate, white fruits there. 13.5°. 2022-23 Feb 2018

shiny yellow. Has a peach, varnish aroma that is straight, not yielding, for now. The nose has the potential to come along further and vary. The  palate offers a flavour of white fruits jam, peach again, a note of white strawberry. This holds shapely richness – it is a true 2013 in that respect. It closes on a touch of chewiness – a tangy but ripe Marsanne grip there. It gradually builds along the palate, is a wine for la table. Decant it. 2024-26  Jan 2015

2012 ()

quite a bright yellow. Has a rounded air of mandarin, light drifts of honey, with dried apricot, varnish, pear eau de vie. The palate has a top and toe of cut, tang, with mid-palate gras richness, a squeezy ball of stewed white fruits plus flan, banana notes. It isn’t quite ensemble yet, also shows late glow. It has matter, gras, a rather thick style, will move slowly and steadily along. Has some red wine attributes, depth, is suited for paté en croute, for instance. Decant it. 13°. 2021-23 USA: MS Walker Jeff Allen 629 5th Avenue suite 216 Pelham NY 10803 (NY & MA) jallen@mswalker.com Nov 2013
