2017

(casks, bottling Sept 2018) red robe. The nose is pure but quiet, gives notably clear raspberry fruit, is rounded, has ripe curves, aromatic potential. The attack is good – off it goes, bears typical Vinsobres strength and gummy tannins. This holds good quality gras, real squeeze. The tannins ride out on their own on the close. The length is good and sure. From 2020. 2028-29 Feb 2018

2011 ()

(casks, bottling end Oct 2012) shiny, dark-tinted robe. Has a pepper-spice front air, still on its lees – there is definite body in the bouquet, which spreads across the glass, and is well-directed. There is clear delivery of black fruit which is tasty and moves into clear-cut areas towards the finish, with a real clack of clarity and prolonged length. Very good – its length is striking. It ends on a little saline note, and I give it marks for character. “It is very dynamic, you can taste the minerality,” Michèle A-L. 2021-23 March 2012
