bright dark red colour. The nose combines blackberry and elder berries, a pocket of raspberry and rosemary. The palate drinks well now, with a liberal show of red fruits, strawberries, and compact tannins attached. A nicely unforced red Côtes which finishes roundly, a note of mild, supple gras there. 13°. 80,000 b. €3.40. To 2019 June 2016

quite dark red, some purple. The bouquet is nicely warm, has airs of stewed red berries, cherries, blackberry also. Has lots of briar, garrigue appeal, is truly local. It thrusts its chest out like a proud rugbyman, a three-quarter. Prominent red berry, mulled fruit on the attack, with small pockets of grainy, granular tannin and an appealing length. It is still running well as it ends, sustains its depth to the finish. This has good guts, is a good Côtes du Rhône 2013 for la table: simple grilled foods. The exit is tarry, with licorice and menthol. This has Rhône Villages quality, and is above average thanks to its well founded depth. There is very good, sustained fruit on the tip of the tongue as it ends. 13°. To 2018 Nov 2014

2 bottles tasted 1st Bottle : shiny dark red. Smooth, elegant first aroma – blackberry fruit with a sweet touch of extra appeal, but it is dusty, while the palate is dry, and this isn’t right. Bottle 2 : there is still a dusty note on the nose, that comes with black cherry behind it, licorice, has sweetness in it. As it airs, it loses the dust. The palate has fair weight and fruit such as simmered blackberry, and it ends on a light tannin grain. The fruit has a juicy style, but there is something taut in it that doesn’t really convince. OK length. 13°. €3.20 export. To 2015 Oct 2012
