100% Syrah (2009) on clay-limestone soils at 300-380 metres, lower soils white clay, higher soils stony, lower soils ripen 2 weeks ahead of higher soils, destemmed, vinified with a floating cap at 15°C for 3 weeks, pumping overs, 35 hl tronconic oak vat raised 8-9 months with 1 racking in spring, zero added SO2, unfined, unfiltered, 5,000 b


dark red; the bouquet has a red cherry air, low level wild flowers present, also peppery notes. This is grippy, holds vibrant fruit, is a dark wine, shows a touch of extraction, with tar in it. There are salted touches late on, the sign-off aromatic. From spring 2020. 2023-24 Feb 2019
