2015 ()

dark red; the bouquet is firm, has depth in its ripe blackberry fruit, with a tar side, pine woods, licorice. The palate is direct, on racy fruit, a tannic clamp either side. It ends firmly, as if Carignan is present perhaps – it has that texture of compact firmness. This is table wine, not really for solo drinking, comes with good, fresh length. There’s a very light floral drift at the end which pleases. This has good clarity. The tannins govern the palate for now, are keen. Bottled 7 June 2017. 2024-25 Feb 2019
