sound red. The bouquet is quietly fruited, centred on raspberry, has a nicely chiselled nature, a tang of clarity, boskiness, is well reserved, not showy. Has a tasty attack with a grainy tannic note, then a floral softness towards the finish. The fruit persists with a rather sweet succulence, but there is an edgy side to it, which is a put-off. 13.5°. dark red, a robe in good shape. Mild, quite orderly nose that gives a murmur of blackberry, also licorice. This has a simply fruited, black cherry flavour – this is a Côtes du Rhône for easy drinking, its axis round fruit. Discreet tannins lie in support; the length is pretty good. It does a good, quiet job. Drink with spaghetti, pies. Good now. 13.5°. To 2015. €3.23 export June 2013
