(bottling in 2 months) medium depth red; has round bouquet – shows flowers, red jelly, strawberry at its centre, attractive local herbs on the fringe, all quite sweet. The palate tastes of red jam with low-key spice. A round, sound Châteauneuf, no fireworks. It lengthens quietly, with some coolness at the end. The juice keeps going in this. It won’t disappoint, will be a consistent drink. Has a mulled liqueur finish. 14.5°. From spring 2014. 2024-25  Oct 2012

dark tints in its red robe. There is a touch of mystery in the nose, which is still reserved. The fruit is blackberry, mixes with light vanilla, dust. It isn’t varied yet. The palate holds spiced plum, simmered fruits, is quite expressive. It lacks extra activity on the late stages – is a bit plain there. Its tannins are inside the wine. The length is sound. The second half doesn’t deliver the hopes of the attack. It will be more open and varied from 2014. 14.5°. 2024-26  Oct 2012

the red robe is tapering a little at the top. The nose is already evolving, has an aroma of mulled red fruits at its centre, is seasoned with cocoa, light tar. The palate is enclosed, shutting down; there is an excess of baked, grilled influences – it risks losing its freedom and zip. Its juice struggles at the end. Its balance is so-so. Would be better in magnum. Try in 2014. decant this. 14.5°. 2029-20  Oct 2012
