2013 ()

(vat/casks) medium to full purple hue. The nose has a dark fruit aroma with a hint of oak. The palate is fresh, long and structured. This is quite elegant in style, the tannins firm but refined, the fruit pretty and expressive. 13.5°. From mid-2016. 2024-25 JL Dec 2014

2012 ()

(vat/casks) dark colour; the nose has a caramel air, no doubt from the oak, its red berry fruit inlaid in an eau de vie, liqueur from. There are hints of rosemary and oregano. The palate develops a sparky, garrigue-flint aspect after a fluid red fruit start. The end is firm, with matter still present, and juice still in play - a good finale, thus. Allow time for the nose to become more natural. From 2016. 14°. €11.50. 2023-25  Dec 2013

(pre-bottling) rather full red colour; richness and ripeness come off the nose, black cherry that has been sweetly soaked and shows élan and minor notes of flowers and mineral. The palate is shapely, its black fruit squeezy and bendy, attractive. It drinks easily, has a nice gummy coating. Refined tannins appear at the end; the balance is good. This is a coolly elegant, precise wine, long and harmonious but may tighten and tense up in the next couple of years as it evolves. From late 2013. 2026-28 Dec 2011

quite full red; there is a light air of red berry jam with some outer tang and a leather note on the bouquet – it is varied, and has a warm appeal. The palate bears pliant red jam flavouring, with pockets of clarity as it goes. An even, approachable wine, works around harmony and a spiced softness. The end tannins are correct, the length good. 2012-13  Dec 2006  Previously July 2005 *(*) cherry, lightly peppered, quite full bouquet; the palate holds dark fruits that are fleshy and rounded throughout. The fruit is clear-cut. The tannins mean it should be left until 2007 or so. 2014-15 July 2005
