(casks) dark, very full robe; there is a swirl of aromas from different sources on the nose – you can settle into the high tech cinema seat for this production – it has an ample, fat tone, showing black fruits, grilling, nuts, mint jelly, leather, black truffles. The palate also has unbounded energy, holds deep-seated black cherry fruit with tannins that gleam, a crunch from those, plus the oak attached. It is hard not to like this wine's “enthusiasm” and open fare. Lots to appreciate and enjoy. From mid 2014. 2039-42 Dec 2011


level plum red colour; ripe, red fruit jell air, very Grenache, herbs and garrigue tints, good layers within the bouquet. The palate flirts with power from the off, has a locked-up fullness and a near liqueur red cherry taste. It builds into its power as it finishes. It is wide in its late stages, shows toffee and tea late influences. Robust wine with a slight cloak of fineness. 15.5°. From 2014. Power is an issue here. 2033-35 Sept 2011
