2019

(barrel/casks) handsome dark red colour; the bouquet gives an elegantly full aroma of well seasoned cooked plum, prune fruit with hints of herbs, carries potential to vary further. The attack is alert, springs out well, with a run of bright red stone fruits and tannins with cut – the finale is clear, well achieved. This has good heart, implications of the garrigue and its herbs central, is an authentic Châteauneuf. The tannins on the finish are a mite dry, not quite chewy, so will reward being left for a while. 14.5°. From 2025, decant it. 2043-45 April 2021

2016

(barrel/casks, bottling June 2018) deep, shiny dark red with some black tints. The bouquet is a large affair, has a breadth and inner strength, reserves of aroma still to emerge. The palate issues a roll of rich, fluid gras backed by some salted tannins that add a spoke of freshness. This has a pretty natural concentration from the vineyard, more than from the cellar. The aftertaste has a little trim florality, perfume. There is latent glow on the aftertaste. 16°. 4,000 b. 80% Gren, 10% Mourv, 5% Syr, 5% various. €29. From 2021. 2034-37 Oct 2017

2015 ()

(barrel/casks, bottling June 2017) dark red. The bouquet has a comfortable depth of black berry fruit, with low-key licorice and cocoa airs. The palate coasts with juicy, still ultimately stiff content, the tannins minted, salted, and requiring until 2020. It has a lithe energy, inner strength, but presents a stern face for the time being, a slight extraction. 14.9°. 6,000 b. 2030-32 Sept 2016
