60-70% Grenache, 20-30% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre (av age 60 yrs) at La Terre Ferme (S-E), later picked crop, destemmed, varieties separately vinified, 23-25 day vinification with maceration up to 35°C, vat-emptying/refilling, pumping over, aged new oak 6-12 months, 6-8,000 b


dark robe; the bouquet bears aromas of ripe black fruits, sweet prune, soaked blueberry, cut grass, hay. The attack is purposeful, gets going well, with a good splash of red berry fruit and spices, strawberry to the fore. The finish is munchy, the tannins gummy there. It’s pretty genuine, off the warm lands Châteauneuf, the content tasty, uncomplicated. There is a hint of glow on the aftertaste. 2013 ()

medium-dark hue. The nose is a little reductive, but with a swirl there’s generous fruit in evidence, as well as a vanilla oak note. Oak is again present on the palate, but it is integrated, and there is fruit with a blackcurrant nuance in behind. The tannins are well rounded. Appealing in a modern way. Mid-term ageing. 2005 ()

quite full red; the red jam aroma gives the sense of ripe fruit, fruit picked late, on the turn – it is like raspberries half way to being jam, hence there is sweetness, and also a high tone air. The palate has a supple attack – here comes fleshy Grenache red fruit; it picks up momentum and finishes with life. Has a very Grenache shape, feel, taste. Its tannins are still evident on the end, the length is good. Toffee aftertaste. From mid-2009. 2019-21 June 2008 Previously Nov 2006 **** black colour. Bouquet is smooth but subdued: there is a twinkle of cleanly presented black fruit with some herbs, and soaked olives – suggests a clean vinification process. Supple, veering towards gourmand flavour and style. Typical ripe Grenache – plum, soaked cherry – aftertaste. Fleshy and potentially attractive wine. Esp 2009 on. 2022-24 Nov 2006

1999 ()

heated, full bouquet, shows black jam, stewed fruits, is young and expect more variety in it from 2007 on. Fleshy start, then tightens as the ripe tannins show. Sound, stone fruits jam flavour, and an oily, suave texture. Good now, more to it from 2005. 2018-21. February 2004
