(vat) dark red colour; the bouquet carries a deep raspberry aroma, has an oily presence, hints of black olives, the south. The palate is robust, well charged, delivers a really good glass of typical Rasteau, with a vibrant heartbeat. The flavour centres on black cherries, and the smoky tannins are ripe, bringing an extra couch to the finish. Much promise here, is an STGT Rasteau. 14°. 70% Gren, 25% Syr, 5% Mourv. From late-2020. 2034-36 Mar 2019

dark red colour; the bouquet gives an upfront, smoky black berry fruit aroma. There’s a semblance of prune, an indication of the vintage ripeness. The palate bears 2016 richness, rolls along with a wide sweep of dark content with spice and clip in the tannins, the aftertaste still on grainy textures as it moves into line. It’s a thorough Rasteau, which will add charm to its qualities if left until 2021. 14.5°. 70% Gren, 25% Syr, 5% Mourv. 2034-36 Mar 2019

(vat) dark red. There is a soft air of blackberry and a small note of licorice. The palate is supple, easy, drinks OK now. Rather low ambition Rasteau. The fruits and texture are mild, easy going. 14°. 30,000 b. From spring 2017. 2020-21 May 2016

red robe. Raspberry fruit leads a neat bouquet, with salty tang. The palate holds sweet-toned red berry fruit with a little clasp of menthol tannin on the finish. It is bright as it ends. Attractive Rasteau, with terroir in its make-up. On the go now. 14°. 30,000 b. 70% Gren, 25% Syr, 5% Mourv. €3.80 export is very fair. 100% concrete vat raised. 2020-21 May 2016
