yellow robe; sultry, honeyed aroma, cooked pear, with a note of spice, cloves, has a sunny nature, is well rounded, discreetly plump, shows a little oak. The palate is tight, carries a dried fruits flavour, with a firm length, a textured feel into a smooth close; white plum, a note of aniseed come through. This has good heart, is promising, nicely structured to evolve. It will emerge steadily, so time is on your side here. Decant it. 14.5°. Bottled Jan 2021. 2034-36 June 2021

2018 ()

rather pale yellow; the nose is buttery, carries peach, floral airs, a note of candy, wax, aniseed. The palate gives a gentle flow of white fruits with a pleasing smooth texture throughout. It’s a little floral, white spring flowers present, along the palate. It’s shapely and willing, a bonny do for the restaurant trade now. Bottled one month ago. 2029-31 Dec 2019

2017 ()

fine yellow robe; the nose is suave, rounded, nicely cool, shows tangerine, floral airs, white strawberry, is tender, not yet out, carri8es detailed potential. The palate bears enjoyable, appealing white fruit, apriucot and white plum present. The length is decent, good and steady. This is a little New Wave in its high level of restraint. It ends plumply, with a bit of drift there. 13.5°. 2028-30 March 2019
