pear, baked apple, quite full nose. Good, level depth in the palate, a wine flows steadily. 2011-12 March 2009

flint hues in the yellow; roasted almond with pear in a willing bouquet that is nice and open, and comes with a ping of lime. The palate has a good, live nature, is very cleanly made; a wine of continuity that runs to a little final touch of bonbon sweets in the flavour, thanks to a reining in of the influence of the more live grapes such as the Bourboulenc and Roussanne. Has a tight, nuggety nature, and a lot of direct appeal. Very good aperitif wine – or a good do with fragrant foods, Japanese dishes or also steamed fish such as Coquilles St Jacques – the latter I tried, and it brought a longer aftertaste, and a savoury pepperiness. w.o.w. wine. To 2010. Nov 2008
