2019

full red robe, a little lightness at the top. The bouquet has a discreet lead of raspberry fruit, with a note of sweetness, a compact ripeness. It’s not thick, but is layered. The palate starts on bright red fruits, plums, with agreeable depth and a tannic presence that bolsters the finish, adding some ballast and a compressed feel there. It has a lip smacking aftertaste. The finish will be more rounded, absorbed by early 2021. It’s an honest, down the line Côtes for grills, white meats. 13.5°. 2024 July 2020

2011

dark red; really sweet, close up and personal air of blackcurrant jam, which is also prominent on the flavour; the taste resembles cassis liqueur on the finish. A wine that is very much in the here and now, and I would get on with it were it bottled. It will please sweet tooth drinkers. AAC – All About Cassis. The finish is live. 12.5°. €6. 2014-15 Feb 2012

2010 ()

steady Grenache red robe, with matt in its tone. Has a restrained plum fruit air, which is typical of Grenache, a red jam or jelly aroma with a hint of herbs such as thyme. The palate starts on spice, holds mid-level gras richness which takes on cut, flinty bite after half way. It ends on grain, pebbledash, a bit parched, an aniseed note. The finish is challenging, food needed. May settle a touch. 12.5°. €6. To 2015 Feb 2012

2009 ()

mulled red fruits, sweet and plump aroma. The palate is accessible, fat, shows red fruits for now. Just a bit sticky, plump, lacks zest. 13°. To 2013. March 2011

2007 ()

bright red, with black; rolled up, reserved nose, but implies a good, measured ripeness of its fruit, some plum in the air, and an elegant presentation. Pretty, floral-laced fruit attack – yes, sir, this is good drinking. Typical Grenache that is beau in texture and taste. The length is good – it has a floral, scented aftertaste with spots of pepper. Good now, has uncomplicated, rocking fruit, Very w.o.w. wine. To 2010-11. June 2008

2006 ()

straightforward red robe; the nose is reductive, with some pepper and a touch of dust in it – there is a little red fruit beyond the farmyard. There is an agreeable tenor of fruit on the palate – the texture is of good quality, nice and lissom, with red fruits on top. Decant because of this nose. Its simplicity is charming and easy. To 2011. June 2008
