2011 ()

dark robe. Wide, live aroma led by black fruits, dark berries – a bouquet that is inviting and full of life. There is bounty in its black cherry fruit, comes with black olives flavours, has genuine depth, and lengthens well, especially for a 2011. It drinks very well now, is still young and up for it. Good with Indain food – drink now until about 2015, to best enjoy its winning youthful vigour and abundant, racy fruit. GOOD VALUE. April 2013

2006 ()

quite a dark purple robe; the nose is slightly animal, fundamental, comes with mint, sweet berry jam traces. The palate is wholesome and easy-paced, its berry fruit consistent with that on the nose. Lengthens well, and ends nice and assured. Has the sweet vintage fruit, and a fresh end. After an hour open, it shows more tannin and bite. Drink solo straight after opening, or with grilled beef, mushroom risotto, tajine or meat pastas. w.o.w. wine – does the job at a very keen price, too - very good value. 2010-11. October 2008

2005 ()

dark robe. Lightly minted topping to a warm cassis fruit bouquet. After 45 minutes – softer, more comfortable aroma, more southern and herbal. Palate`s black fruit has a grainy trim, is clearly cut. Supple now. Some end pepper, licorice. Gains more structure and sinew with air. To 2010. Nov 2006


dark red, purple touches. Has a redcurrant jelly, rose-hip aroma with some smoky licorice, grilling – there is a refined side to the nose. This is meaty wine with a potent core, is tightly packed. Tannins take over on the finish. The black fruits are live, and the wine shows freshness and thrust in a modern style. Well made, has some structure to live a little more. 14°. 2009-10  Sept 2005
