dark red robe; the bouquet assembles blackberry fruit with a sweet undertone, a pastille-like association, cassis liqueur. It’s wide, and giving. The palate is suave, filled with likeable rich content, another hand-out of sweet-toned black fruits with notes of dried herbs, licorice towards the finish. The tannins are mild, just a little grainy, powdery and they fit in comfortably. It’s an open Vinsobres with enough depth for beef dishes, reflects ripe Syrah in its juiced style. bright, dark plum red colour; serene style bouquet that floats its red fruit across the glass, shows some mulled fruit. The palate is pushy, with front of the mouth tannins. Black fruit and licorice combine in the flavour, and acidity is an issue. May yield and settle. I get the feel that this has been made without true conviction. 14.5°. 2016-17 March 2011
