100% Grenache (1982) on clay-limestone soils at 300-380 metres, lower soils white clay, higher soils stony, lower soils ripen 2 weeks ahead of higher soils, destemmed, 2-3 week steel vat vinification, pumping overs every 2 days, 67% concrete vat, 33% used 600 & 228-litre oak cask raised (inc all the press wine), assembled July after harvest, bottled August after harvest, zero added SO2, unfined, unfiltered, 7,500 b

2018 ()

pale, fine red colour; licorice, wild red berry fruit airs with violet trimming on the nose, which holds well. This is discreetly muscular, comes with good, low-key sève [old vine sap], a flavour of cherry stone, its depth gradually coming through. It ends on peony, floral notes. Good table wine, especially with beef. 2023-24 Feb 2019
