2017 ()

full red robe; has a nicely alert bouquet, raspberry fruit present, is nicely tucked together, promising, with smoke, wild berry airs. The palate holds nice easy gras, has a supple feel, a thread of freshness through it. The fruit is pretty stylish, clear, the length steady. It’s nice to encounter a Southern Syrah without obvious oak. The finish is careful, restrained. 13.5°. 1,200 b. Bottled 27 May 2019. €35 at the domaine. 2033-35 Feb 2020
