2014

shiny yellow robe. White peach and soft floral airs mingle on the nose, with aniseed and greengage, some toast, roasted nuts. The palate is grippy, has a dried fruits flavour with quince and orange peel fresh associations. There is a good compote of white fruits as its base, with some pear and peach also here. This is stylish and true, is a wine for la table. The texture is smooth, it holds gras richness. It gathers complexity, and there is lime at the finish, a clear close. 2011 ()

sound yellow robe. Peach, white flowers airs, with mild oaking, a note of aniseed de Marseille – this is a good, varied, stylish bouquet. The main impression left by the palate is a suave, attractive fullness, and good, persistent length. There are touches of vanilla/oak here and there. It spreads nicely across the palate after half way. There are notes of licorice and infused tea on the end. 14°. 2020-21  March 2015 Previously May 2013 *** full yellow robe. Has a rather sherry-like air, notes of lime marmalade, orange jam, Poire William, exotic and glazed fruits. The palate starts on a strict, cool, aniseed flavour; it isn’t really out of its shell, is turned inwards. Its acidity is low-key, in the 2011 style. This needs sauced foods, Vieille France cuisine. It isn’t on fire now but can improve and integrate. 14°. €16 at the cellars. 2018-19  May 2013

2010 ()

yellow colour. The bouquet has a beefy style, is solid, full, compact, and reflects sun, ripeness. There is an interesting mix in it – pear, white truffles, licoirce, linden (tilleul). The palate starts on a honeyed note, with a glistening bonbon, barley sugar style flavour. Big textured wine, it is all well ensemble, has a spiced licorice and notably fennel end. Plenty of heart. Food wine, full - put southern flavours with this. 14°. 2020-21  Oct 2012
