50% Merlot, 50% Marselan (a Grenache-Cabernet Sauvignon mix), both 2001, clay-sand soils, fermented by bleeding off the skins (saignée) at 18°C, steel vat raised 3-4 months, malo blocked, 10-12,000 b


pink is the colour; nice and clear cherry fruit nose. There is red fruit foremost on the palate, with some content to it and bulk behind. It broadens and notably sweetens, and it turns out to contain 4 gm of residual sugar. Nicely done wine by a confident hand. Also was hand picked. June 2008
