bright, dark robe. The nose has an air of cooked black cherry fruit, loganberry with raspberry and sizzled bacon. The fruit on the palate is immediate, juicy and entertaining: this is w.o.w. Côtes, that has dash and local colour. It finishes full of beans, with dabs of blueberry and some lightly tarred tannins. A great all-rounder for meats, fish, vegetarian  dining options. 13.5°. 60% Gren, 40% Syr. €6.07. To 2020  June 2016

bright purple-mauve robe; has a black cherry aroma with a sea salt air, is nice and supple, welcoming, holds good, bendy fruit. It has a sound Grenache heart, egged on by more racy Syrah. The palate is also a pleasure, its texture flexible, comes with good grain, spice and a soaked Morello cherry and blueberry, streaked licorice flavour. It finishes with a little firmness, just right to support it on the close. All told this is local, tasty, genuine, has character. There are light grain tannins near the finish. 2016-17 14.5°.
