The Wines

45-60% Grenache blanc, 30-45% Clairette, 5-10% Bourboulenc, 0-5% Ugni blanc from clay-limestone terraces and slopes, hand harvested in the early morning, steel vat fermented 3 weeks at 16-17°C, raised 5-7 months, fine lees stirring, malo blocked, fined, filtered, “drink as aperitif, or with prawns, seafood dishes, grilled fish, salmon pasta dishes, Picodon cheese”, 53-120,000 b

bright pale yellow. Honeycomb and apricot mix on the first nose, come with a note of aniseed, licorice. The palate has a flavour of Mirabelle plums, greengage plums, and shows quiet late acidity. It tones down on the finish, has fair length, a little grip. 13.5°. 45% Gen bl, 45% Clair, 10% Bourb. 120,000 b. €3 export. To 2018  June 2016

(vat) slight pear tone to the yellow robe. Airs of bonbon show on the nose, a slight drift in it, not as tight as some. There is a hint of pear fruit. The palate combines cooked apple with cooked pear, apricot coulis. It is a little low on acidity, so serve well chilled for the aperitif, or with cold chicken, easy flavoured dishes. Candy notes show on the aftertaste. 13°. 45% Gen bl, 45% Clair, 10% Bourb. 120,000 b. €3 export. To 2017 Apr 2015

yellow colour; clear, escapist bouquet, a light sense of cooked lemon, nectarine. The palate comes in a techno style – it kicks off on cutting, low-key fruit; it doesn’t stop to establish a real run of gras richness, ends clearly. Fresh wine, but lacking real imprint. 13°. 45% Grenache blanc, 45% Clairette, 6% Bourboulenc, 4% Ugni blanc this year. 53,000 b. €3.09 export. To 2016  Oct 2013

very pale, low key yellow robe; The nose is plain, rather commercial; flint, sherbet show up, with light pear fruit. This lacks true vineyard depth. There are spritzy notions on the attack; a wine with bone, spine that is a little dour, conformist. Too technical to please, and a dusty aftertaste also. 13.5°. 120,000 b. 60% Grenache blanc, 30% Clairette, 10% Bourboulenc. To 2014 June 2012

pale robe. Lively nose, greengage plum fruit. Rather Lirac white-like start, shows dried fruits, has nice width on the palate, the length is fair. Clean and tidy, and settling down post-bottling this month. Feb 1997
