dark pink, orange tints; the bouquet has a sturdy depth, carries a rose petal hover above its red berry fruits that are close-knit, rather sunswept, with a note of licorice. The palate is juicy, carries agreeable abundance, spreads widely, and continues with dried herbs such as thyme into a firm finish. It’s muscular, sweet, suited to grilled lamb cutlets, Mediterranean garlic and olive oil dishes. 13°. 60% Gren, 30% Syr, 10% Mourv. €7.85 at the cellars. 2022 Oct 2020

2017 ()

pale pink, slight orange tint. Has a fresh, airborne nose that lines up redcurrants, small red berries, a hint of strawberry, dried herbs present, and a pleasing, soft sweetness. It’s on the button now. The palate is gently fruited with red berries, strawberry, followed by a lightly salty grip. This is tuneful, genuine, STGT Lirac rosé, a good, true show of the refined qualities that Lirac rosé can offer, with garrigue touches. It’s well together. 13°. To mid-2019 Sept 2018

fine pink colour. The nose has a sweet, fine point of red fruits, crushed strawberry, sets up the palate with charm. This drinks with a line of freshness, carbonic gas aided, through it; it ends softly, with a plump texture. This has sound spine to keep it together. It’s right on the button now, a good, clear drink with sound body. It can do the aperitif, or go with salads, hors d’oeuvres. 13.5°. To early 2019 May 2018

attractive, true pink colour. Grilled, nearly aggressive nose, underripe red cherry fruit in it. The palate fruit carries a sweet, rather pasty nature; the whole wine – both nose and palate – fail to convince. The end is rather sticky, needs more cut. 13.5°. €6.05. May 2013
