50% Grenache blanc, 30-50% Clairette blanche, 0-15% Viognier (until mid-2010s 0-20% Ugni blanc), pre-fermentation cooling, vat fermented at 17°C, raised 5-6 months, malo blocked, “drink with vegetable tagliatelle”

2019 ()

sound yellow robe; the bouquet has a peach aroma, a note of “high” in the ripeness of the fruit, some grilling as well. The palate bears further grilling, with a degree of fat in the middle; it’s not an even run along the palate, comes and goes, and the aftertaste could be more decisive. There is a white-fruited, slightly floral presence at its centre, but there are wispy surrounds. 13.5°. €6.40 at the cellars. To mid-2021 Oct 2020

2014 ()

very pale robe, suggests a low temperature fermentation and a zippy, modern wine. The nose is more neutral than showy, has a light aroma of cooked pear, stewed white fruits. The palate offers a brief display of white fruit, drinks easily, solo is OK for it. It holds a small gras late on. Correct, but no more than that – it is tame. 13.5°. To 2017  Jun 2015


yellow. Melba toast (very thin), with a light buttery air here and soft, plum fruit, peach and flowers, a hint of flan. The palate carries agreeable, mild fruit, has a lime, nicely free tone to it, ending with a good, fine acidity. Delicate, but it has the body for foods, and its fruit is precise, clear. Has nice length, ends freshly with a roundness, is OK for the aperitif or clear spring, summer flavours. Has a quiet, fresh finale, is a serene, attractive wine. 13.5°. To 2015  May 2013

2011 No Rating

mild yellow; hazelnut paste air, dried fruits and apricot – the nose is singed, disorderly, even leans towards oxidation. The palate is also on a rather burnt basis – it dries and exits without fruit and pleasure. Very modest. Oct 2012
