ripe yellow colour; the bouquet is rounded, together, buttery, has depth if not a lot of declaration. There’s a note of brioche baked bread, a hint of petrol. The palate is soft, easy in feel, with plump gras bearing white fruits such as white plum, a little tang, and a steady run into its close, grip there. It’s a safe, low acidity, pleasing version of Lirac, with sun in its veins, not overdone, will suit mushroom dishes, breaded chicken. 14°. €11. 2022-23 Oct 2020
2018
clear yellow colour; the nose is a touch reduced, gives a sense of “high” fruit, damp wool, banana, aniseed. It could be clearer, have more zap. The palate bears supple content which never quite lifts off, is rather gloopy, weighted, a true 2018 in that respect. Glow comes through on the aftertaste. There’s some carbonic gas lining to it. It has substance, but could be finer. Table wine for country dishes, not smart, neo cuisine. Just makes it to ***. 13.5°. 2023 May 2019

pale yellow. Reductive nose, has a white jam air, cooked lemon, licorice stick – there is a quiet depth here. The palate has a closed-in style; there is gras, but it’s not entertaining. It ends firmly, is still reticent, is pinched. The flavour is neutral – maybe nutty, some herbal tea, over outright fruit. Limited. Decant it. Foods such as pastas. To 2016. 14°. May 2013

green apple, notably sweet noted aroma. Shows lees and reduction effects, some pear, is not quite pristine. The palate has a fat, traditional make-up, lacks real cohesion. Its acidity is not woven in, and this is basic, and not balanced. July 2011

round, buttery nose. The palate is a bit timid, perfectly agreeable, but lacks spark. Ends quietly, drops down there. March 2011

pale yellow; fresh, modern vinification aroma – pear drop sweets, herbs. The palate holds rather curly fruit – it isn't settled, and lacks roundness. Fair length. To 2011. March 2009
