50% Grenache, 50% Syrah from sandy soil slopes, night harvested by machine, pre-fermentation cooling at 3-8°C for 2-3 days skin contact, start fermentation at 24°C, 3-4 week vinification, cap punching, twice daily pumping overs at first, 65% raised steel vat, 25% oak cask 6-8 months, fined, filtered, 10-15,000 b


quite a dark red. The nose has a reserved potential, a nice, confident black fruit aroma, has some charm with an air of sweetish blackberry jam, is a little bit rubbery. This is attractive, drinks with a full fruiting, has spice and, late on, herbs, thyme, dill. Well made – what Côtes du Rhône should be – it has enough body for spaghettis, is drinkable with a range of foods. Light tannins support it. Grounded, sound wine whose end is a little clinical. 14.5°. To 2016  May 2013
