50% Grenache, 50% Syrah from very stony, clay-limestone soils, destemmed, 3-week vinification, pumping overs, 67% aged oak casks, 33% vat raised 12-13 months

quite dark red; peppery, red jam, strawberry aroma with a quite curve of appeal. Has an overt pepper start, with a low-key mid-palate – there is some matter there. It ends peppery, a bit strict. Drink now to late 2010. March 2009
